We are currently supporting a large-scale Digital Banking Transformation Programme in Malmö, Sweden, focused on omni-channel customer experience, regulatory alignment, and multi-market scalability across Europe.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Digital Banking Business Analyst to analyse, define, and translate business needs into scalable, actionable requirements that drive the design and delivery of customer-centric digital banking solutions.
This role will bridge strategic, functional, and technical domains, ensuring alignment with EU regulatory frameworks including PSD2, AML, GDPR, and EAA.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead elicitation, documentation, and validation of business and functional requirements
- Translate strategic goals into detailed HLDs, user journeys, and Agile backlog items
- Map end-to-end omni-channel customer journeys and identify optimisation opportunities
- Ensure traceability between business requirements, technical implementation, and testing
- Align solution design with EU regulatory requirements (PSD2, GDPR, AML, EAA)
- Support KPI definition for adoption, scalability, and performance
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops across business, product, and technology teams
- Contribute to governance frameworks (RACI, change control, localisation strategy)
- Support CI/CD readiness through configuration and feature flag specifications
- Document business processes using BPMN / UML standards
Required Experience
Digital Banking & Transformation (5–8+ Years)
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in digital banking or fintech environments
- Deep understanding of banking products and digital ecosystems
- Hands-on experience embedding regulatory compliance into solution design
Pan-European Delivery
- Experience supporting multi-market or cross-border banking rollouts
- Ability to balance standardisation with local regulatory adaptation
Requirements & Process Excellence
- Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
- Experience producing HLDs and traceability matrices
- Proficiency in BPMN, UML, or equivalent process modelling standards
Tools & Technical Understanding
- Jira, Confluence
- Process modelling tools (Camunda, Signavio, Visio)
- Understanding of APIs, microservices, CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud-based architectures
What We’re Looking For
- Structured, analytical thinker with strong stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments
- Strong communication skills in English (Swedish is advantageous)
